A Morris County man was charged with driving while intoxicated in Secaucus last week after a New York City taxi driver accused him of not paying a fare.

Police say they went to Edison Fast Parking on New County Road around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on a call of a taxi passenger not paying his fare. When officers arrived they spotted an SUV attempting to leave one of the exits where a police car was parked, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said.

The cab driver identified the man behind the wheel of the SUV as the passenger who did not pay the fare, Miller said.
