A Paterson woman charged last month with making nearly $1,000 in purchases with a credit card stolen from a co-worker is facing new counts after additional illegal purchases were discovered, police said.

Joanny Paulino spent more than $275 at TJ Maxx and Walmart, stores that advertise themselves as deep discount retailers, and another $65 at Toys R Us, which is offering going-out-of-business sale prices, Secaucus police Capt. Dennis Miller said. Another $25 was spent at Dunkin Donuts.

All told, Paulino, 37, used the credit card illegally 24 times between Feb. 15 and March 1, Miller said, but only four of those purchases were made in Secaucus. She was initially arrested March 23, and she was re-arrested on April 2 at Secaucus police headquarters after traveling there for a follow-up interview.
