A Jersey City man was charged with theft from a Macy’s warehouse the day after Christmas, police said.

Police responded to the national retailer’s logistics and operations center at 500 Meadowlands Parkway on Dec. 26 at 12:46 p.m. on the report of an employee theft, police said.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Derrick Mason, 39, of Jersey City, for theft, police said. During the arrest, it was also found that Mason has an outstanding warrant out of Garfield for $1,000, police said. Mason was served his complaint warrant and taken to Hudson County jail.
