Deputy Chief Joseph Baccola is a 23-year veteran of the Secaucus Police Department. He is a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University. He was appointed by the Secaucus Police Department on March 12th of 1999. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant January of 2006, the rank of Lieutenant on February of 2013, the rank of Captain on December of 2015, and he is being promoted tonight to the rank of Deputy Chief. Amongst his assignments have been, Supervisor of the Records Division, Patrol Commander, and most recently, the Commander of the Administrative Division. Deputy Chief Baccola has received one excellent police service award and one-unit citation award.
